Vision of the Seas RCL: Feb. 27 - March. 10 2023. Southern Caribbean/Central America: I took this cruise because it went to Colon Panama and I was sure I was going to be able to go through the Panama Canal. Turns out I was wrong. The canal is so busy they only open it to tourists on the weekend. The best we could do was go to the Agua Clara locks, pay $10 and watch the ships go through the canal from the view above on the hill. The cruise also stopped in Limon Costa Rica, Cartagena Columbia, Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao. my favorite was Bonaire. We didn't take any tours in Costa Rica and opted to walk around the town and do some shopping, Colon we rented a car and drove to the locks and Panama City (1 hour drive). Cartagena we took the "Hop on/Hop off" bus through the old walled city. It also included a walking tour of the historic buildings which included a church from 1493. The ABC islands are all different. Bonaire is famous for their flamingos, The ship itself is one of their older and smaller ships which made it nice to get to know other travelers and we made a few friends.
